The Banker, in association with Transport Malta, presents ‘Flying the Flag of Confidence’, an afternoon briefing looking at the benefits of registering aircraft and yachts in Malta.
With a well-established maritime tradition, Malta has built up the second largest shipping register in Europe and the seventh largest in the world, with over 5,000 vessels now flying the Maltese flag.
Transport Malta, the country’s new transport authority, is now spearheading a drive to persuade owners and operators of luxury and commercial yachts to consider Malta as the jurisdiction of choice to register and manage their vessels.
Building on the success of its shipping register, and its growing reputation as a centre of aviation excellence, Transport Malta is also reaching out to owners, operators, lessors and financiers of private and corporate jets to communicate the benefits of registering and managing aircraft on the island.
With a combination of keynote addresses, case study presentations and panel discussions, this briefing will look at the key issues facing those who register and manage yachts and aircraft and will provide an objective analysis of the facilities and benefits Malta can provide.
