| Description: | FT is looking for a well-organised sub-editor to work on a busy subbing desk across a number of pensions and investment magazines. |
| Keytasks: | Reporting to the Production Editor, the key responsibilities of this role are: Subbing, headlining and layout for news and features pages Sourcing photos and images to attract the reader and complement the feature Creating charts and graphs to accompany news, features and comment pieces Liaising with printers to ensure pages are sent as per press deadlines |
| Essential skills: | Impeccable subbing/proof reading skills including demonstrable capability with Quark Xpress (layout experience preferable) Attention to detail Creative and innovative use of the English language Ability to absorb and interpret financial subject matter in short periods of time Experience of working to tight deadlines and ability to work well under pressure |
| Preferred skills: | Good working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator Professional journalism qualification Experience or knowledge of the financial services industry or fund management |
