Description:Pensions News (www.pensionsnews.com), the Financial Times' online news service for the international pensions and investment community, requires a senior reporter to help write and source breaking news stories. This senior role will involve writing daily news as well as taking on some editing responsibilities.
Working within a team of more than 20 pensions and investment specialist journalists at Financial Times, you will need to be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. A good sense for interesting and relevant content coupled with the ability to write accurate copy at speed are essential. As this is a senior role you will be expected to take on responsibility for uploading stories on to the website as well as deputising in the absence of the Editor. Being an ambitious self-starter will stand you in good stead with regard to career development and promotion opportunities within the FT Group.

The role will involve international travel to business meetings and events.
Essential skills:Strong news writing skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines and produce clear, concise and accurate copy
Good communication skills
Preferred skills:Previous editing experience
Good working knowledge of the international pensions and investment industry
Previous online experience
Expertise in one or more European languages
