Description:FT Mandate, the global monthly asset management title, is looking for a staff writer to increase and enhance coverage of institutional asset management trends, issues and developments. The writer will be required to specialise in capital markets instruments, building up contacts with investment banks, hedge funds and other key players in bond, equity and derivatives markets.
Keytasks:To write features, news and analyses for FT Mandate. To organise and host roundtable discussions and occasionally chair panel debates at investment conferences.

Essential skills:The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of writing on investment issues. He or she will be familiar with the key economic drivers and global financial trends.
An interest in capital markets is a must as is the ability to write clear, concise and lively copy to deadline.
Preferred skills:The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with proven ability to manage a variety of reporting and writing assignments. International experience and a second language would be an advantage.
