Description:Heading up the features team that produces a cutting edge weekly trade paper for UK investment intermediaries.
Keytasks:Reporting to the Editor of Investment Adviser, the key responsibilities of this role are –

Directing the features desk strategy and content delivery on this weekly technical investment newspaper.

Commissioning & editing writer and contributor copy in collaboration with the Editor and Chief Sub Editor.

Turning major market events & trends from the news desk in to in-depth features.

Managing, developing and motivating a team of 3 direct reports.

Developing industry contacts and raising profile of Investment Adviser.
Essential skills:The successful candidate must be able to illustrate the following skills and expertise which are essential for performing the role –

A detailed understanding of the UK retail investment markets.

Close attention to detail and strong features commissioning & editing skills.

Demonstrable top class journalistic skills.

Proven people management abilities.

First rate initiative and contact-building skills.

Good organisational and planning skills.
