Description:The production desk for the leading weekly financial services title is seeking a dynamic and motivated sub-editor to complete the team
Keytasks:Reporting to the Chief Sub-editor, the key responsibilities of this role are –

Subbing, headlining and layout for news and features pages across a wide-range of topics that the title covers.

Liasing with the picture desk in order to come up with striking pictures which will draw the reader into the feature.

Creating charts and graphs to accompany news, features and comment pieces.

Running corrections.

Liasing with the online team in order to get the editorial content onto FTAdviser.com as soon as possible.
Essential skills:The successful candidate must be able to illustrate the following skills and expertise which are essential for performing the role –

An excellent knowledge of QuarkXpress.

Close attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

First-rate use of the English language.

Proven ability to function under pressure and never miss a deadline.
Preferred skills:Proficient with Illustrator and Photoshop
