This is Africa are proud to present the inaugural ‘Brazil-Africa Forum’, a one day summit providing a platform for constructive dialogue on how to deepen the interaction between these two countries.
Much has been made of Asia’s soaring political and economic ties with Africa over the past decade, spearheaded by the BRIC economies of China and India. There has been less focus however, on Brazil’s relationship with Africa which has made similar strides.
Under the banner of “South – South” cooperation, its approach emphasises long term partnership and mutual benefit in both political and economic spheres. While political cooperation leads the way for this relationship, Brazil’s rapidly rising business sector is already tapping the substantial opportunities offered by many of Africa’s fast growing economies.
‘Brazil-Africa Forum 2012’ will bring together leading figures from both Brazil and Africa, with keynote addresses, panel discussions and case studies addressing the strong cultural and socioeconomic similarities between the two regions.
Join us as Brazil looks to position itself as a strong partner in international affairs for African countries.
