The 2008 Financial Times and Investors Chronicle AIM Investment Awards took place on Thursday May 29th at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London. The twelve awards, including AIM Investors' Company of the Year and AIM Investors' International Company of the Year, were voted for independently by investors.

The AIM Investment Awards were founded to highlight the companies and advisors that have made the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) a better place for investors. In what has been a challenging year, in the wake of the credit crunch, the 2008 awards highlighted the many achievements of AIM and its participants in the 2007/2008 financial year.

With 1,700 companies and a total market capitalisation of over £90bn, AIM offers investors a range and depth of small and growing companies that is unrivalled anywhere in the world and the Financial Times and Investors Chronicle AIM Investment Awards celebrate the companies and investors that have made this successs story possible.

The 2008 AIM Investment Awards have been voted for independently by investors. Eight of the awards were voted for by our panel of illustrious small company fund managers. The other four awards were voted for by readers of Investors Chronicle.
