Date: Thursday 22nd April 2010

Venue: Merchant Taylors’ Hall, London

The Banker, in association with SAS, is pleased to announce Spotlight on Fraud, a breakfast briefing focusing on the measures being taken to fight fraud in the financial sector.

With fraud costing the UK more than £30bn per year, banks and insurance companies need to be constantly vigilant and innovative by implementing new policies and procedures to detect, prevent and mitigate losses from fraud.

As fraud is such a wide reaching problem across all financial sectors, a collaborative approach is essential to stem the tide, with the industry working in close co-operation with law enforcement agencies, regulators and governments.

This morning briefing will outline the latest policy initiatives and best practices being adopted by firms, look at fraud developments within policing organisations such as the National Fraud Authority, Serious Organised Crime Agency and the City of London Police, and review the FSA’s latest policy of ‘credible deterrence’.

If you would like to join a host of industry experts to discuss the way forward in the fight against financial crime, then please register now.

Attendance is limited to senior fraud, financial crime and risk executives working within banking and financial services and complimentary places are offered subject to availability and approval by the Publisher.
