PWM Asia, in association with Deutsche Bank, presents the Future of Institutional Investing, a series of briefings examining the rationale for formula-based investment techniques versus traditional, high conviction processes.

The efficient market hypothesis states that security prices fully reflect all available information at any given time. Therefore no analysis can be expected to out-perform an appropriate benchmark. This theory has been increasingly questioned recently, with critics blaming this belief in rational markets for much of the recent financial crisis.

Industry experts from local markets will examine this theory, discuss how funds can benefit from market inefficiencies and debate whether the current climate is suitable for a return of quantitative investing.

With a combination of keynote addresses, case study presentations and lively panel discussions, each briefing will explore a new approach to the active versus passive investing debate and provide in-depth information on the latest developments of customised indices and beta enhanced strategies.

If you would like to join the debate on the future of institutional investing, please register now.
